Anita Udaiyar

Director of Community Programs

Anita Udaiyar is a physician and public health scholar who joined the Behavioral Health Network as the Director of Behavioral Health Clinical Strategies. She is committed to optimizing quality equitable access to behavioral health through a collaborative interdisciplinary approach. Anita earned her MD from Pondicherry University, India and graduated magna cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with an MPH in Epidemiology and Advanced Biostatistics. Previously, she worked with the Health Communication Research Laboratory at Washington University to study the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on social needs in 35 states in the U.S.A. Anita Udaiyar brings with her years of training and experience in clinical medicine, research and important contributions to community health in India. She developed several community initiatives involving primary healthcare provision in rural India. Anita is deeply passionate about using her expertise to impact change using evidence-based interventions with an institutional vision to improve and transform behavioral health for all.
