Our Work

BHN plans, coordinates, implements and leads innovative projects to inform systems change and address system gaps with the goal of strengthening the regional public sector behavioral health system.

Program Overview/Key Initiatives

Our program overview document outlines BHN’s programs and initiatives, as well as their individual contexts and funding.

Programs and Initiatives

Coordinating Access to Care

The goal of LINCS, ERE and YERE is to reduce preventable hospital utilization by adults and youth.

Building Community Engagement

Part of the overall mission of BHN is to extend the system of care for under/uninsured individuals who struggle with behavioral health concerns. Through community engagement, and education we work to build trust and positive relationships that support treatment and recovery needs while also reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness.

Supporting Recovery Page

Recovery focused initiatives serve those struggling with substance use disorders (SUD) by connecting individuals (through peer supports) to treatment and recovery options.

Strengthening Ecosystems of Care and Addressing Complex Needs

Our complex care programs aim to improve behavioral healthcare delivery for individuals who are super-utilizers of the Emergency Departments (EDs) in Eastern Missouri.

Driving Decisions Through Data Page

BHN gathers data and measures outcomes to evaluate the impact for each of our collaborative initiatives.
